Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the frequently asked questions below by selecting the relevant tab.

1. How do I book a lesson or course package?

To book a lesson or package, please share your contact details on the ‘contact’ page. I’ll then get in touch personally to discuss options and finalize your booking. Bookings aren’t made automatically online.

2. How does payment work?

Since all bookings go through a personal consultation first, payment details will be discussed once we finalize your lesson or package.

In general:

  • A 25% deposit is required to secure course packages and paid before the lessons begin. The remaining balance can be paid afterwards.
  • For individual lessons, payment may be required in full before or on the day of the lesson.
  • Accepted payment methods typically include cash, bank transfer, or digital payments (e.g. Paypal)

Once we confirm your booking, I will provide all necessary payment details to ensure a smooth process.

3. What happens if the conditions or weather are bad?

If conditions aren’t suitable for your lesson, we’ll reschedule for the next available time. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we’ll offer a refund or alternative activity.

4. What is the cancellation policy?

In general, cancellations made within a certain timeframe (e.g., 24-48 hours before the lesson) may be eligible for a full refund.

1. I’m a total beginner. Can I still book a lesson?

Absolutely! Beginner-friendly lessons are available for both kiting and winging.

2. Do I need to bring my own equipment?

No! All gear is included in your lesson, including boards, kites, wetsuits, and safety gear. If you have your own equipment and prefer to use it, let me know!

3. Can I rent equipment if I don’t need lessons?

No, I do not rent out equipment.

4. How long does it take to learn?

The time it takes to learn depends on the sport, your fitness level, and how quickly you adapt to new skills. While some people progress faster than others, most beginners benefit from a structured lesson plan rather than just one-off sessions.

To get a solid foundation, I recommend booking the standard intro course package for each sport, as it’s designed to cover the essential skills and give you the best learning experience.

Kiteboarding

  • Estimated Learning Time: 6 – 12 hours (typically spread over 2 -4 days).
  • Recommended Course: The standard packages in the Intro to Kiteboarding Course cover all beginner fundamentals, helping you progress safely, and ride independently.

Wingfoiling

  • Estimated Learning Time: 6 -12 hours (typically spread over 2- 3 days).
  • Recommended Course: The standard packages in the Intro to Wingfoiling Course is what we advise to safely learn and progress without frustration.
